4. 75th Anniversary of passing of Rabindranath Tagore
The bengoli community in collaboration with impresario india is observing 75th anniversary of the passing of Rabindranath Tagore (Byeshe Shraban in Bangla) with a Geetialeko of his body of work by Shreya Guha Thakurtha in songs and Mounita Chatterjee Mukherjee in narration.
Author of Gitanjali and its “profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful verse”, he became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. Rabindranath Tagore as we all know was a Bengali sobriquet Gurudev.
